Holy Family Church was filled with enthusiasm, hope, and the joyful spirit of young leaders on Wednesday, November 19, as students from our local Catholic feeder schools gathered for the annual Youth Faith Ambassadors Commissioning Day. Guided and mentored by the dedicated members of the Wings of Faith Ministry Team, the retreat brought together Grade 6, 7, and 8 students for a full day of formation, fellowship, and spiritual growth.

The day began with a celebratory Eucharistic liturgy, grounding participants in the heart of our faith and reminding them of their call to be the hands and feet of Christ in their communities. Following Mass, retreat leaders facilitated a series of engaging activities; including team-building exercises, small-group discussions, and guided reflections, all designed to help students explore what it truly means to be a Youth Faith Ambassador.

Throughout the day, students collaborated on action plans for social justice initiatives, discerning concrete ways they can bring Christ’s compassion to life within their schools. From supporting vulnerable families to promoting kindness and inclusion, their ideas reflected a deep commitment to living their faith with purpose.

Moments of prayer and reflection offered students the chance to encounter Christ personally and renew their promise to serve with humility and joy.

The day was a resounding success, marked by vibrant energy, deep conversation, and a genuine desire among students to grow as leaders rooted in faith.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the Wings of Faith Ministry Team for their outstanding leadership, creativity, and witness. Their passion and dedication made this formation day both meaningful and memorable for all who attended.

Together, we continue to build a community where young people are empowered to lead with courage, compassion, and faith.
