On November 11th the school took part in celebrating Remembrance Day. The shop classes made crosses to put together a “Field of Crosses” that looked beautiful. The grade 10’s and 11’s gathered in the cafeteria during first period to be present in commemorating the fallen solider by attending an assembly run by the Wings Of Faith. Before the assembly fully started everyone stood for the national anthem preformed by our Senior band. Then we followed with prayer, a poem read and written by grade 11 Angelina Cocco, and a moment of silence with the accompaniment of lovely trumpet playing by grade 11’s Julian Falcitelli and Ivan Velasco. The assembly ended with a beautiful performance by our dance students to the song Iris. The next period the grade 9’s and 12’s went to do the same on this important day. On Remembrance Day we pay tribute to the lives of fallen soldiers and pray for their souls and families. We wear our poppies proudly in honour and respect.

Lest we forget.
