A note from Mrs. Della Mea, Mrs. Giancola, and Mrs. V in the library

The Library welcomes all returning and new students this fall as we prepare to celebrate “Love Your Library” Month this October! Get ready to win some prizes by entering contests and participating in lunchtime fun during themed Wellness Wednesdays held the last Wednesday of every month.

If you do not know the power of libraries, take a look below at what the library has to offer you!

1. Access to Free Resources

Libraries provide free access to textbooks, academic journals, eBooks, audiobooks, and online databases– high-quality research materials that aren’t available through a basic internet search.

2. Study Spaces and Quiet Zones

Need a quiet place to focus? The Library offers peaceful environments perfect for studying, writing papers, or preparing for exams. We also have group study rooms equipped with whiteboards and cozy seating.

3. Technology and Equipment

We lend more than books — we have Chromebooks, too! We also offer printing (buy a print package on School Cash Online), phone chargers, vinyl record listening and more!

4. Workshops and Lessons

From citation help to research lessons, the Library supports student learning. If you need help from a teacher-librarian, come visit us during your lunch or spare!

5. Research Help from Real Humans

Librarians are trained research professionals. They can help you find credible sources, refine your topic, and learn how to cite properly. Don’t underestimate how much easier and faster your work can be with their help.

6. A Break from Academics

Beyond academics, libraries are hubs for creativity and wellness. You can join our book clubs, attend art events, take part in mindfulness sessions, or simply relax with a novel or comic book.

We hope to see you soon and follow us on Google Classroom with class code wnv2k6x and Instagram @stmthunderreads.
